Task
To create a single platform that brings together all the operational processes of an agribusiness — from crop planning to yield and cost analysis. To provide access to the system from mobile devices for agronomists and machine operators in the field.
Project features
Planning and control of field operations taking into account crops, fields and seasonality
Machinery accounting: maintenance schedules, operation, fuel, downtime
Productivity monitoring and expense accounting for each plot
Integration with GPS and weather data to calculate agrotechnical windows
Personal accounts for agronomists and machine operators with mobile access
Generation of reports on yield, costs, machinery and personnel
Work stages
Analytics
Field interviews were conducted with agronomists, managers and accountants of agricultural enterprises. Document workflows, seasonal cycles and the specifics of working with different crops were studied. Special attention was paid to integration with the accounting systems the client already had.
Design
The interface was implemented taking into account limited connectivity in the field — with offline access and the ability to synchronize later. The control panel is divided into modules: fields, machinery, employees, operations, expenses.
Development and testing
The platform was developed on Python (Django) + React Native (mobile part). Support for satellite imagery, precise positioning and field visualization was added. Testing was carried out in real conditions — on the territory of a large agricultural holding.
Results
A 12% increase in yield through optimization of agricultural practices and timing
An 18% reduction in fuel and lubricant costs and machinery downtime
Increased transparency in the work of machine operators and the accounting of field operations
The system was deployed on 9 thousand hectares during the first season
Client review
“AgroControl allowed us to move from paperwork and Excel to a full-fledged system where everything is under control — from the field to accounting. The solution is flexible, adapted to our real processes, and works even without internet in the field.”
