About the project

A web platform for BaZi practice — the Chinese "Four Pillars of Destiny" system — and feng shui consultations. It combines the master's public page with the consultant's working tools: a chart calculator, a calendar, a compass, a client database and a consultations section.

The challenge

A BaZi consultant works with a large volume of calculations: for each client, a chart is built from the date of birth, luck periods are calculated by decades and years, and clients themselves keep coming back for years. We needed to build a tool in which these calculations and client data are stored together and open in a couple of clicks, as well as a public section that introduces visitors to the master.

The master's page

The public section is designed in a warm palette — peach, beige and orange accents. The "About Master" block tells the master's story in the first person, and the "About me" section with a photo of a compass and a traditional luopan adds context to the practice. We combined large modern typography with the symbolism of Chinese metaphysics so the page looks current while staying true to the subject.

Charts and luck periods

The core of the platform is the calculation table. Each column corresponds to a luck period with its starting age — 1, 11, 21 and so on up to 81. For each period, the heavenly stem and earthly branch are shown — for example, "Wood" and "Dog" — with characters, illustrations, the strength phase and the ten gods. Below are the years written in characters, and the relevant cells are highlighted in color. This format lets the consultant take in the client's entire life scale at a glance.

Client database

The top menu of the working section: "Main", "Calculator", "Calendar", "Compass", "My clients", "Consultation". In the clients section, the left side has search and a list with dates, and the right side has the client card: name, gender, date of birth, country, contacts, address and notes. The card can be edited or deleted, and the "View Days / Maps" and "View BaZi" buttons immediately open the calculations for that person. The "Attach to client" button lets you link a completed calculation to the card.

Result

The platform brings together in one place everything a BaZi consultant works with every day: chart and period calculations, a calendar, a compass and client history. Calculations are tied to people rather than getting lost in files, and the public page introduces new visitors to the master and their approach.
