Task
To create an easy-to-use platform that would optimize patient flow, reduce queues and allow administrators, doctors and patients to interact in real time without chaos at the reception desk.
Project features
Online booking and issuing of electronic tickets
A waiting display, queue reading, calling the patient into the office
Segmentation by services (tests, ultrasound, general practitioner, dentist, etc.)
Integration with doctors’ schedules and the patient’s electronic medical record
An administrator panel for tracking workload and distributing patient flow
Push notifications to patients and quality rating after the appointment
Work stages
Analytics
Interviews were conducted with administrators, doctors and patients in 4 clinics. The main problems were identified: manual distribution, confusion in schedules, dissatisfaction due to waiting. A model of the electronic queue logic was formed, taking into account different types of appointments and their duration.
Design
An extremely simple interface was developed: for the administrator — a panel for managing patients and calls; for the doctor — a list of appointments; for the patient — a mobile card and the queue display. Touchscreens and tablets in the waiting area are supported.
Development and testing
The server side is on Django, the client side — React. Displays and kiosks run as PWA applications on any device. Testing was carried out in 2 pilot clinics: a dental clinic and a diagnostic center.
Results
The average patient waiting time was reduced by 35%
Administrators stopped keeping a manual appointment log
Increased loyalty: patients rated the digital format positively
Doctors began to adhere to the schedule more precisely and to keep up with documentation
Client review
“ClinicQueue is what we had been missing for a long time. Everything has become simpler: patients don’t crowd, administrators work more calmly, and doctors see a clear schedule. Very convenient and modern.”
