E-GetS : Food & Drink Delivery

Project task

The client set the goal of creating a universal app for ordering food, goods and services with delivery, aimed at Southeast Asian markets. The app had to provide easy access to local and international cuisines, support a multilingual interface and a “door-to-door” delivery model.

An important challenge: to ensure maximum ordering simplicity and local adaptation for users’ different languages and cultural preferences.

Product goals

  • Provide a convenient platform for ordering food, drinks and everyday goods
  • Support a multilingual interface: Chinese, English, Khmer, Vietnamese, Thai, etc., to remove the language barrier when choosing a cuisine and restaurant
  • Integrate group buying and express delivery
  • Ensure a simple UX for users with different levels of technical proficiency

Core functionality

  • Browsing and ordering dishes from restaurants and brands (KFC, McDonald's, Starbucks, etc.)
  • Multi-cuisine support: Chinese, Western, Asian and other cuisines without language barriers
  • Dola Mart product catalog — shopping for groceries and everyday goods
  • Group buying on favorable terms
  • Express delivery of various goods (including more than just food)
  • Integration of logistics services (ZTO Express) and order status tracking
  • Promotions and bonuses for new users

Stages of work

1. Analytics and research

We carefully studied:

  • user behavior patterns in the target markets (Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, etc.)
  • competitors and existing food delivery models
  • key pain points: language barriers, complicated interfaces, an inconvenient ordering process

The result is a core functionality focused on ordering speed and local adaptation.

2. UX / UI design

When designing the UX/UI, the following were taken into account:

  • ease of navigation even for inexperienced users
  • minimalism and focus on content (restaurant lists, products, filters)
  • clear CTAs and visual hints at every stage of ordering

The design is made so that a person can place an order in 3–4 actions without any training.

3. Development

Development was carried out with an emphasis on:

  • stable operation with a weak internet connection
  • adaptation to different devices and languages
  • integration with local payment systems and delivery maps

Mechanisms were put in place for working with a large catalog of cuisines and products, as well as real-time order status tracking.

4. Testing

The following was performed:

  • cross-device testing
  • stress tests on real networks
  • UX field tests in the target markets

This helped identify bottlenecks in navigation, achieve stable filter operation and correct interface localization.

Results

  • The app runs stably on Android, with a rating of about ⭐4.7 and more than 500 thousand installs (Google Play data)
  • The user’s ordering path has been reduced to a minimum
  • Support for many languages effectively removes perception barriers
  • Additional services (group buying, express delivery, product shopping) have been added to extend the user cycle

Key advantages of the solution

  • Multilingualism and localization for fast-growing markets
  • A comprehensive platform for ordering and delivering food, goods and services
  • UX simplicity aimed at a wide audience
  • Integrations with local logistics partners

Client review

“We got exactly what we wanted: a flexible app adapted to local markets, with clear navigation and a stable ordering system — all the main functions work without failures and provide real value to the user.”
