About the project
Globus Experts is a closed community of regular shoppers at Globus hypermarkets, where people share ideas, vote on other members' suggestions, take surveys and earn points for taking part. We designed the platform's mobile app (it also has a web version): essentially, it's a feedback channel between the retail chain and its customers, presented not as a questionnaire but as a lively community with statuses and rewards.
The challenge
People are reluctant to fill in ordinary feedback forms, and the answers they give tend to be short and repetitive. We needed to design an app where taking part is genuinely interesting: suggest an idea, debate in the comments, answer a couple of questions — and see that your contribution is noticed and rewarded.
Ideas and voting
The "Voting" section opens with the "Got an idea" list: each suggestion is a separate card with a title, a comment count and "for" and "against" buttons. In the mockup, these include "Sell organically grown vegetables", "More vegetarian products" and "Expand the garden & country house section". At the bottom of the screen is a "Suggest your own idea" button, so members can not only rate other people's suggestions but also add their own.
Inside an idea, there's the author's description with photos, the percentage of support and a comment thread. Above the discussion sits a hint about the points reward for a detailed comment: this nudges people to write thoughtful replies rather than just leave a like. Comments can be liked, and you can attach a camera shot, a photo or video from the gallery, or a file to your reply.
Surveys
Besides ideas, the app has short surveys. Each question is shown on its own card with an explanation and an illustration, and the answer is given on a scale from 1 to 5 — from "Not convenient" to "Very convenient". One question per screen and large buttons let people complete a survey in a few seconds, even on the go.
Profile and motivation
The profile brings together everything related to rewards: accumulated points, cash balance and member status — in the mockup it's "Expert", with a hint showing how many points are left until the next level. This is also where you'll find the community participation rules, the user agreement, password change, log out and app version information. The bottom menu leads to the home screen, chats, notifications and the profile, and badge counters on the icons flag new messages.
The result
We designed an app that turns feedback collection into community participation: ideas, voting, discussions and surveys are tied together by a shared system of points and statuses. The chain gets detailed customer opinions on specific questions, and members get a clear reason to keep coming back and sharing them.
