About the project
Globus Experts is a closed online community of regular shoppers at Globus hypermarkets. Members discuss the product range and service, take surveys, vote for ideas and suggest their own, while the chain gets feedback directly from people who regularly visit its stores. We designed the web version of the platform: an activity feed, discussions, voting and a personal account with points.
Challenge
The community thrives on member activity, so the interface has to make participation easy and visible. We needed to bring different formats — discussions, surveys, news, voting — into one place so that people immediately see where they're needed and get a clear reward for every useful action.
Home: everything you can take part in
The main screen is a feed of cards with current activities. Each card has a topic and a call to action that depends on the format: “Join the discussion”, “Take the survey”, “Read the news”. Topics vary: natural cosmetics, buying groceries on marketplaces, in-store consultations, a store manager meeting with experts at a specific location. Completed activities are marked “Done”, and the liveliest discussions are highlighted with a badge and a comment counter.
At the bottom of the screen are four quick entry points for unprompted feedback: “I was disappointed”, “How competitors do it”, “I want to give praise” and “I have an idea”. The side menu holds chats, notifications and the profile, with unread counters next to the items.
Discussions and voting
A discussion starts with a moderator's post: questions for members and photos of products on the topic. Below is a comment thread with likes, nested replies and attached images. Above the discussion we placed a reward banner — for example, “300 points for a detailed comment” — and under a reply the moderator has accepted, a “300 points awarded” mark appears. This way, members see what contribution is expected of them and what they received.
In the “I have an idea” section, members are asked to choose the best option, such as a creative for an advertising campaign. Each option is a card with video or images, a vote counter and comments. There is also a “Suggest your idea” button so members can not only choose but also propose.
Profile and points
The profile shows the member's status (“Expert”), the number of points and how many remain until the next level, as well as a separate “money” counter. From here you can also open the community participation rules, the user agreement and change your password.
The points history shows every accrual and deduction: for which activity, with what comment and when. Such transparency matters in a community where points are the main motivation: members can always check what they were rewarded for.
Result
The web version of Globus Experts brings all the chain's formats of communication with shoppers onto one platform: an activity feed, moderated discussions, voting, member-initiated feedback and a transparent system of points and levels. Members quickly find where they can help, and the chain's team gets structured opinions from regular customers.
