Objective
The project objective was to develop a reliable and secure mobile app that makes it possible to:
track employee location in real time;
record site visits and task completion;
store movement history for a day/week/month;
optimize routes and employee workload;
automate the monitoring of working time outside the office.
Project stages
Analysis
Business requirements for employee tracking were analyzed: what data matters to managers, what access levels are needed, and how to process and protect personal coordinates. Key scenarios were identified: monitoring couriers, field technicians, sales agents and mobile teams.
Design
The interface design focuses on clarity and ease of management: large map elements, current position indicators, filters by employee and time, and geofence and waypoint scenarios.
Development and testing
A mobile GPS tracker module and a cloud service for storing and processing geodata were implemented. Testing was carried out under various conditions (different GPS coverage, movement, signal loss), along with load testing to ensure stable operation with a large number of users.
