Task
To create a modern and flexible e-commerce project with personal accounts for designers, individual brand storefronts and an emphasis on the visual presentation of clothing. It was necessary to build an aesthetic and intuitive website to support the platform’s image as an “online fashion gallery”. The website had to scale easily as the number of sellers and the product range grow.
Project features
The distinctive feature of the project is building the marketplace not as a classic “supermarket”, but as a stylish showcase for creative brands. Each partner has its own page with stories, photos, lookbooks and delivery terms.
Implemented:
A brand account with the ability to manage products, promotions and orders
A “Brand Story” section and support for custom descriptions
A showcase of collections, lookbooks and video content
Search and filtering by style, fabric, size and clothing type
Integration with Kazakhstan’s payment services (Kaspi, Halyk Pay)
Work stages
Analytics
We studied the behavior of the audience — mainly women aged 22–35 interested in sustainable fashion and local production. It was important to make the website visually aesthetic and light, without overload, with an emphasis on style. We also studied the experience of Etsy, ASOS Marketplace and Showroom in order to apply best practices in the visual presentation of clothing.
Design
A minimalist, “clean” design was developed with an emphasis on high-quality photos. The color palette consists of neutral shades so as not to compete with the images. The home page and collection cards are made in a lookbook format with the ability to quickly proceed to purchase. Special attention was paid to the mobile version and adaptation for Instagram traffic.
Development and testing
The website is implemented on Laravel + Vue.js with a modular architecture. The following were developed:
Brand accounts with product uploads, discount management and storefront design
A module for reviews, returns and order statistics
An admin panel for managing stores, content and moderation
Integration with e-mail and push notifications for orders
The platform underwent UX testing with 15 real users (brands and buyers), after which a number of changes were made to simplify the checkout process.
Results
