Mobile flower marketplace

About the project

A flower marketplace mobile app for Kazakhstan. The shopper picks a delivery city, finds a bouquet from one of the seller shops and places an order, while florists themselves get a job board with vacancies and bouquet auctions in the app. We designed the app interface: the home screen, product page, listings section and auction.

Challenge

Flowers are most often bought for an occasion and in a hurry: people need to quickly find a suitable bouquet in their city and understand how much it costs and what it really looks like. At the same time, the platform brings together many shops, and the shopper should see exactly who they are ordering from. We needed to build a storefront that makes choosing by occasion easy and add mechanics that bring people back to the app: cashback, auctions and listings for the professional community.

Home: choosing by occasion

At the top of the home screen are the delivery city (Astana in the mockup), notifications and product search with filters. Below is a carousel of promo banners — for example, cashback in points on every purchase to pay for the next order. The “Purchase tags” block helps those who don't know what to choose: collections like “Guest of honor”, “For wife”, “For mom” immediately narrow the choice to suitable options. A separate banner invites you to build your own bouquet with decorations and ribbons, followed by a feed of promotions.

Bouquet page

We built the product page around the photo: the bouquet fills the entire screen, overlaid with the name, rating, seller shop, price, favorites, chat and info buttons, and a large “Buy” button. The shopper first sees what the bouquet looks like and only then reads the details.

Pulling the info sheet up reveals the details: the date the bouquet was arranged, tags, width and height in centimeters, the florist who made it and their rating, a description and reviews. Next to the price, it immediately shows how many points will be returned for the purchase.

Auction and listings

In addition to regular purchases, the app has an auction: a participant places a bid on a bouquet, and when bidding ends, the winner sees a message that their offer is the best, the bid amount, the auction end time and a button to proceed to checkout.

The “Listings” section is designed for the professional community: it features florist vacancies with salary, city, shop and required experience, as well as “Buying”, “Selling” and “Looking for work” listings. Your own posts are collected in the “Your listings” tab, and a new listing is created with a builder.

Result

We designed an app where shoppers choose a bouquet by occasion and delivery city, see a real photo, dimensions, the florist and rating, get cashback and can take part in auctions. For florists and shops, the app also works as an industry job board with vacancies and deals.
