About the project
Mibu Game is a gamification platform for staff motivation. Employees earn points and rewards for training, results and taking part in contests, while managers run the system and track the team's progress. The platform consists of several parts: an app for employees, an app for managers and an admin panel. This case covers the administrator's web panel, shown using a coffee shop chain as an example.
Challenge
Chain restaurants and retail constantly take on new people: they need to be trained to standards quickly, have their knowledge checked and stay motivated without extra cash bonuses. This requires a system where the administrator fills the knowledge base, launches tests and contests and manages staff across several locations at once. We needed to design a panel where all of this is done without developers' help.
Several locations in one window
In the top right corner of the panel is a venue switcher. The administrator can work with one coffee shop or select several at once — then data is shown for each location separately. On the “Profiles” screen, employees are grouped by address, each group shows the total number of employees, and a person's card shows their name, age and role: barista, waiter. A new profile is added directly to the right location.
Knowledge base and testing
The “Materials” section is split into two tabs. The “Library” holds training articles grouped by topic — “About the company”, “About coffee”. Each item has a cover and reading time, and new ones are added from an empty card at the start of each section.
The “Testing” tab follows the same principle, collecting tests sorted into categories such as “Corporate” and “Certification”. A test card shows the completion time and number of questions. The shared logic of the library and tests lets the administrator first give employees material and then check how well it has been learned.
Contests and rewards
Besides orders, the dashboard has a “Contest” tab. The administrator sets prizes for the current and next month: separately for the best employee (“Hero of the month”) and the best team (“Team of the month”) — and sees until what date the contest is active. A prize can be edited in one click. The menu also has “Achievements” and “Shop” sections, where rewards are configured along with what employees can spend their earned points on.
Result
The Mibu Game admin panel lets you manage staff motivation across the chain from one window: maintain employee profiles by location, fill the knowledge base, run tests and certifications, announce monthly contests for employees and teams and configure the rewards shop. The platform's apps for employees and managers are published in the App Store and RuStore.
