About the project

Pacific ADU Builders is the website of a company from Irvine (Orange County, California) that builds ADUs — standalone living units on a lot next to the main house. The company offers ready-made plans, custom design and garage conversions into living space, and its main selling point is a fixed price.

The challenge

Building an extra home on their lot worries clients with its unknowns: how much it costs, how long it takes, how to get permits. The website had to answer these questions and lead the visitor to one action — booking a free consultation. That's why the "Book Free Consultation" button is pinned to the header on every page.

Home page

The first screen is built around the company's promise: "Orange County ADUs. One Fixed Price. Zero Surprises." The background shows a rendering of a finished ADU with a terrace and dining area, and below are three ways to work: a ready-made plan, a custom design or a garage conversion. Two buttons lead to the consultation and the project catalog. The style is calm: a dark green accent, serif headings, plenty of white space — the site should look like a reliable contractor, not an advertising landing page.

Project page

Each ready-made ADU plan gets its own page. Take The Pacific 490 ADU: an image gallery on the left; on the right, the project type, name, a short tagline and a description of what the home is good for — renting out, housing relatives or setting up a home office. Key advantages are shown as tags: fixed price, customization options, move-in ready and fast-tracked permits. Below is the Key Stats block with specifications such as floor area.

How the process works

The How it works section breaks construction down into five stages on a week-by-week timeline: site research, design and a fixed-price contract, permits, construction and handover. For each stage, it shows what the company does and what the client gets at the end: a site feasibility report, a signed contract, permits and a start date, weekly photo reports and, finally, the keys. The last stage is highlighted in color, and the typical overall timeline sits above the scale.

About the company

The About page opens with the same visual device as the home page — a large heading over an image of a finished ADU — and immediately states where the company works: Irvine, Orange County. The consistent style of the first screens ties all sections of the site together.

Result

The website answers the client's main questions before the first call: what plans are available, how long the process takes and what happens at each stage. Visitors can explore ready-made ADUs, understand the timeline and book a free consultation from the site header at any moment.
