Complex and non-standard development

We take on tasks others usually turn down: engineering at any depth — from controller firmware to an operating system. First we research and test hypotheses, then tell you honestly what's achievable, and carry the solution through to a working product.

  • From firmware to OS
  • Research before development
  • Prototyping and hypothesis testing
  • NDA from day one

What the service includes

Operating systems and kernels

Specialized operating systems, Linux kernel modifications and system components for a specific device or task.

Firmware and embedded systems

Firmware for microcontrollers and embedded devices, with or without an RTOS — within tight memory and power constraints.

Drivers and hardware

Device drivers, hardware communication protocols and low-level interaction with peripherals.

Compilers, DSLs and interpreters

Domain-specific languages, interpreters and build tools that make your specialists' work easier.

High-load and distributed systems

Systems that process large data streams and keep running when individual nodes fail.

Non-standard interfaces and devices

Gesture control, specialized control panels, VR and interfaces for hardware that looks nothing like an ordinary computer.

The lab of the impossible

Tasks that don't fit into typical projects. Each one starts with research and ends with a working solution or an honest conclusion.

01

A custom OS for your device

A minimal operating system containing only what your device needs.

02

Controller firmware

Code that runs at the limit of a microcontroller's resources and needs no intervention for years.

03

Hardware communication protocols

Data exchange with industrial and specialized equipment over documented and proprietary protocols.

04

Decoding legacy formats

We decode the client's own outdated file formats to move accumulated data into new systems.

05

Rendering and simulation engine

A custom engine for visualization, physical process modeling or specialized graphics.

06

Embedded scripting language

A scripting language inside your product that lets users describe logic without developers.

07

Real-time sensor signals

Ingesting, filtering and analyzing sensor data streams under strict latency requirements.

08

Porting to a new platform

Moving software to a new processor architecture, OS or device while preserving its behavior.

Engagement models

Research and feasibility study

Best when it's unclear whether the task can be solved, and how.

We study the domain, constraints and possible approaches. The outcome is a feasibility conclusion, risks and a plan for further work.

Estimate the project

Full-cycle development

Best when the task has been researched and you need a finished product.

We design, develop, test and maintain the solution. We work in phases with interim results you can verify.

Estimate the project

Frequently asked questions

How do you estimate tasks that seem impossible?
We start with research: we analyze the constraints, study existing approaches and test the riskiest parts on a prototype. Only then do we estimate the scope of work — not based on guesswork.
What if the task turns out to be unsolvable?
We'll tell you honestly after the research and explain why. Often we can offer an alternative — simplify the requirements or solve the task partially.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes, from day one — before you share the details of your task. Only team members get access to project materials.
Who owns the rights to the result?
Rights to the source code and deliverables pass to you as set out in the contract. Terms are fixed in advance, before work begins.
Can you work with our hardware?
Yes. We work with hardware you provide, at our facility or at your site — depending on the conditions and security requirements.
Do you take on improving someone else's low-level code?
Yes, if you hold the rights to that code. We first dig into it and document it, then improve it or port it to a new platform.

Tell us about your hard problem

Describe your task, even if you've already been told it's impossible — we'll research it and tell you honestly how to solve it.
